Modular Medical is a medical device company on a mission to make insulin pump therapy simpler, more affordable, and accessible to the millions of people with diabetes who have been underserved by today's technology. Our tubeless Pivot insulin patch pump recently earned FDA 510(k) clearance and is now launching in the U.S. — and we're building the commercial organization to bring it to patients and providers nationwide.

About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Sales, CSO to lead strategic oversight of our outsourced sales organization, combining operational excellence with commercial acumen to ensure our sales partners deliver exceptional results. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Organization, you'll own the governance, structure, and performance of our contract sales partners and play a central role in the successful launch and growth of the Pivot franchise. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment and wants to shape how a breakthrough product reaches the people who need it.

What You'll Do

• Lead strategic oversight of our outsourced sales organization to ensure partners deliver exceptional, compliant results
• Develop and maintain sales governance, policies, and clinical selling standards for outsourced sales partners, ensuring alignment with FDA requirements and company standards
• Design and optimize territory strategies, account segmentation, and field structure to maximize market coverage, patient access, and geographic efficiency
• Partner with Marketing, Clinical, and CSO leadership to translate commercial strategy into compliant sales messaging, execution plans, and field readiness
• Recruit, onboard, and manage outsourced sales organizations and contract sales partners — including performance expectations, competency standards, training requirements, and incentive alignment
• Provide ongoing oversight of field execution through performance reviews, data analysis, field rides, and partner assessments to ensure quality execution, brand integrity, and continuous improvement
• Analyze and report on sales performance, market trends, prescription patterns, and competitive intelligence — tracking key metrics such as patient starts, utilization, retention, customer acquisition cost, and revenue by territory
• Lead and support successful launches of Pivot insulin pump assets by ensuring operational readiness, execution discipline, and achievement of sales objectives
• Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, excellence, adaptability, and adoption of new commercial capabilities, including data- and AI-enabled tools
• Contribute to strategic decisions for the Pivot insulin pump franchise through market insight, performance analysis, and competitive awareness
• Maintain deep knowledge of the insulin pump, diabetes technology, and competitive landscape

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
• 8–10 years of progressive sales leadership in medical device, pharma, or healthcare technology
• 5+ years managing outsourced sales organizations or distributor networks
• Diabetes technology experience (pumps, CGMs, automated insulin delivery)
• Proven track record scaling sales from $10M to $100M+ in revenue at growth-phase companies
• Experience with B2B2C sales models, product launches, and payor/reimbursement navigation
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, or Power BI
• Executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders
