Work Environment\n

This position is structured as a remote role, allowing for flexibility in your workspace while maintaining regular communication with our team via virtual platforms. Your work schedule will predominantly be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. You will leverage technology to conduct assessments, deliver therapy, and collaborate with healthcare colleagues effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that address the specific psychological, cognitive, and social needs of older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, addressing both mental health and physical health considerations.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as individual counseling and family therapy, utilizing methods that have been shown to be effective with geriatric populations.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for elderly patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective assistance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is the geriatric population, generally consisting of individuals aged 65 and older. As a therapist, you will encounter a diverse range of mental health issues, from typical age-related adjustments to severe psychiatric conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing therapeutic rapport and trust with patients, some of whom may be experiencing significant emotional and cognitive challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active licensure as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is required to practice.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with elderly populations.

• Strong foundational knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy specifically targeting older adults and their concerns.

Compensation and Benefits\n
