This position allows for remote work, making it convenient for you while offering the opportunity to contribute to our outpatient office setting in Columbus, GA. Regular office hours span from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts necessitated by patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents, including understanding their behavioral responses and emotional triggers.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that account for each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Play Therapy, to effectively address anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers with strategies to create a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care, actively participating in case consultations and team meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies that require swift and compassionate care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards through our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops and training sessions to remain updated with the latest advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily focused on addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents aged 5-18. Our practice is dedicated to treating a diverse range of mental health issues, providing a safe space for young individuals to share their experiences and receive comprehensive support. Your role is vital in fostering a trusting relationship with patients and empowering them to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia, demonstrating your qualifications to practice.

• Solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy focused on supporting youth and families is essential.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to establish rapport and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in basic computer applications.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly working with children and adolescents, is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position comes with a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 110,000 annually, supplemented by performance-based bonuses. We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus to help you transition into this rewarding role from the outset.
