Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, ensuring a complete understanding of their unique needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages and family dynamics unique to each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, focusing on promoting adaptive coping strategies.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans that address all aspects of a patient’s life.

• Educate young clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to promote informed decisions.

• Document therapy sessions and maintain patient records accurately, adhering to legal and ethical standards required in mental health practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• Strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
