We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at Renewed Beginnings Counseling. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to our young patients, focusing on individual and family therapy. You will report to our clinical director and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, helping to foster mental health resilience in children and adolescents.

Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for the flexibility of remote work while being part of an outpatient setting. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and you will have access to electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline your documentation and patient care. Our working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed based on patient demand.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the mental health needs of children and adolescents, using standardized tools and clinical interviews.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with developmental milestones and family dynamics, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy, addressing various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, discussing treatment progress and adjustments during team meetings.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective responses to acute situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health awareness, treatment options, and community resources, fostering a comprehensive understanding of mental health care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and continued learning through workshops, conferences, and supervision.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, as well as their families. Our practice is dedicated to implementing family-inclusive approaches to therapy, ensuring that the support system surrounding the young patient is engaged in the healing process. Our focus areas include but are not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and other behavioral health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Georgia.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues, therapy techniques, and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a child-centered approach to therapy.
\n
• Ability to build rapport with young patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems and other digital tools essential for patient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of experience providing direct mental health services in a clinical setting, particularly focused on children and adolescents. Experience in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and employing various therapeutic modalities is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
