Grace Place Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality mental health services to clients and are looking to make a significant impact in their lives. Candidates will have the flexibility to work from home while also engaging with clients through our outpatient office setting in Clifton, New Jersey.

This position allows for a remote work setting, providing counseling services primarily through virtual platforms, supplemented by in-person sessions in our outpatient facilities as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental health needs, documenting all relevant information from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' emotional, psychological, and behavioral health, using appropriate assessment tools and methodologies.
\n
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with clients' goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment journey, adapting plans as necessary based on client feedback and clinical observations.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers, to create and update intervention plans.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients requiring additional support during hospitalization.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, actively working to mitigate barriers to treatment success.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grace Place Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, addressing a range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health disorders. Our clientele includes individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and cultural identities, and we strive to provide culturally competent care aimed at empowering each client to achieve meaningful outcomes in their mental and emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR or comparable software, for client documentation and treatment planning.
\n
• Up-to-date knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standard protocols in mental health treatment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a licensed mental health counselor in a similar outpatient setting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in understanding the relationship between mental health and co-occurring substance abuse issues.

• Experience developing treatment plans that effectively incorporate the impact of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities and empathetic engagement with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a signing bonus to welcome you to our team.
