Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to accurately assess clients' psychological well-being from the initial consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans that consider the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitate engaging one-on-one therapy sessions and structured group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, ensuring that each session maximizes therapeutic outcomes.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to enhance effectiveness and address any emerging issues.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to create comprehensive and cohesive care strategies.

• Proactively follow up with medical professionals regarding the care of clients who have been referred for inpatient treatment, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement interventions to mitigate these challenges, working closely with clients and their families.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing education on managing behavioral and mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience in the mental health counseling field, demonstrating a track record of client success and satisfaction.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, and adept at accurately documenting client interactions and treatment plans.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, including comorbid physical health issues and substance use disorders.
\n
• Understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), ensuring your practice is up-to-date and effective.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an innate ability to connect with clients and foster trust.

• Familiarity with medication management processes and the implications of prescribed medications on therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
