This role will be performed in a remote setting, working closely with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure students receive comprehensive support. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and environmental factors that may impact students’ well-being and academic performance.

• Develop and implement individualized service plans that set attainable goals, outline intervention strategies, and monitor client progress regularly.

• Provide counseling services to individuals and families, using evidence-based practices to support their unique challenges.

• Collaborate with students, families, teachers, and school administrators to create comprehensive support networks and connect clients with community resources.

• Engage in crisis intervention efforts, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans as necessary for students experiencing acute distress or emergencies.

• Facilitate community outreach to raise awareness about social services available to students and families within the school system.

• Participate in case conferences, contributing insights to multidisciplinary teams aimed at providing holistic support.

• Engage in ongoing supervision and training opportunities to enhance your professional skill set and knowledge base in social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on the student population within schools, ranging from elementary through high school levels. You will work directly with students facing various challenges, including behavioral issues, emotional distress, family crises, and academic struggles. Your interventions will consider both the immediate needs and the broader social context in which these students live.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Strong understanding of community resources and social justice issues relevant to families in the Portland area.

• Exceptional communication skills, cultural competence, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
