Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients to determine their mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are dynamic, adapt to client progress, and integrate evidence-based methodologies.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various counseling techniques suited to the specific demographics and issues of clients.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide support in managing referrals and follow-up with clients who are admitted to inpatient facilities, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate family members and caregivers on mental health challenges and teach methods to support their loved ones' recovery processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base encompasses a diverse mix of populations, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and other mental health issues. As a mental health counselor at Hidden Paradise, you will have the opportunity to work with adults, adolescents, and families, providing you with the experience to cater interventions and counseling strategies to various age groups and backgrounds. You will play a critical role in identifying their needs and guiding them toward recovery and healthier living.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A successful passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health software systems, especially electronic health records (EHR).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with a compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience providing clinical mental health counseling in outpatient settings.

• Experience in group therapy facilitation, particularly for common emotional and behavioral issues.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Experience with cases involving addiction and co-occurring disorders will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
