Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for adult clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, and Trauma Response.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to accurately identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
\n
• Facilitate skills training sessions focused on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to mitigate risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and external professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to support clients and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other required paperwork, adhering to designated timelines.

• Participate in monthly team meetings and submit weekly reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client base of adults experiencing a wide range of mental health issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. You will work closely with clients to empower them to make positive changes in their lives through personalized treatment and support.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• Active Licensure (LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC) issued in New York State.
\n
• Thorough understanding of DSM-5 for assessments and diagnoses.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in various therapeutic methodologies.
\n
• Strong clinical training and field experience with adult populations.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with treatment planning, including developing treatment goals and documenting client progress.

• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and a willingness to undergo further training.

• Proven track record of success in providing positive behavior support.

• Additional certifications or training in therapeutic modalities such as Gestalt therapy or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is a plus.

• Ability to navigate various telehealth platforms for seamless client engagement.
