Work Environment

The work environment at Restore Strength is collaborative and supportive, emphasizing teamwork and ongoing professional development. As an onsite physical therapist, you'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team that includes other physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. The facility operates Monday through Friday, with flexible schedules available, including options for hours starting at 8 am or 9 am and ending by 4 pm or 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical observations to design individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to facilitate recovery.
• Provide ongoing education and support to patients, explaining treatment processes and encouraging adherence to their rehabilitation protocols.
• Engage in clinical teaching by instructing and mentoring physical therapy interns and new staff, sharing expertise and best practices in patient management.
• Contribute to the clinical education of colleagues, offering insights on advanced treatment methods and current trends in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Collaborate with the management team to initiate and participate in relevant clinical research aimed at improving patient care quality and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work mainly with outpatient clients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, and chronic pain disorders. Our patient population includes individuals of all ages, from young athletes to elderly patients, all requiring tailored therapies to achieve and maintain optimal function. Your expertise will directly contribute to restoring their mobility and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of an active New York State Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in orthopedic physical therapy is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education and collaboration.
• Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments and applying therapeutic techniques effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred and will be considered an asset to your application.
• Previous experience in teaching or mentoring physical therapy students is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation requirements in physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year.
