Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, including assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address clients' challenges effectively.

• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families, offering guidance regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on outcomes and new developments in their mental health status.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about recent advancements in mood disorder research to continually enhance treatment strategies and approaches.

• Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential client documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work to diminish the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The primary focus of this role will be clients experiencing various mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Your role will be critical in providing assistance to marginalized groups, including the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, all of whom may face unique barriers to accessing mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
