Accountant

We are working a newly created Accountant position for a growing manufacturing company in the Wausau area. This position will have a direct line to the Controller, who will be very involved with getting you up to speed, then evolving into a hands‑off boss, yet always there as a resource. The company is growing both through acquisitions as well as organically, so it is an exciting time to be there! A nice perk is this role can take advantage of an awesome hybrid schedule after you are up to speed! Responsibilities Prepare and enter journal entries to the general ledger. Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and subledgers, ensuring data integrity and alignment with accounting policies. Assist with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities. Maintaining a daily bank reconciliation process. Recording and monitoring inventory transactions. Assist with external audits of company's accounts. Prepare and review detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights to leadership. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1+ years of accounting experience. Manufacturing experience. Problem‑solving/process improvement mindset.
