Full-Time Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Center

Echo Rehabilitation Center in New Windsor, New York, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities, to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately seven patients, ensuring timely and effective therapy sessions that adhere to individualized treatment plans.
• Establish measurable functional goals for each patient and continuously monitor and assess progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on preventive care, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote recovery and wellness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to formulate integrated care plans that support overall recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation, adhering to regulatory standards and facility policies on record-keeping.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, strokes, and other conditions requiring rehabilitative care. You will work with diverse age groups and varying levels of ability, focusing on restoring function and improving quality of life. Your role will include not only the physical aspects of recovery but also providing emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Physical Therapist License
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MSPT or DPT) preferred
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans specific to older adults and individuals with complex medical histories
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and advanced rehabilitation modalities
• Previous experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management

Compensation and Benefits
