Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to accurately determine movement impairments, utilizing both subjective assessments and objective measures, including strength and range of motion testing.
• Design and implement individualized therapy plans, taking into account patient goals, clinical observations, and current evidence-based practices, to address specific physical limitations.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, comprising physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff, to enhance each patient's progress and share insights regarding treatment effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on prescribed therapeutic exercises and techniques, ensuring they are empowered to perform exercises safely and effectively at home.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic equipment and modalities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes, such as ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy techniques.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and facilitating appropriate tracking of progress over time.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on evidence-based practices in physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient clientele will primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will experience a diverse range of cases, including post-operative rehabilitation, as well as therapies for geriatric patients dealing with mobility impairments due to age-related ailments. Expect to develop a therapeutic rapport with your patients, fostering a trustful environment where they feel comfortable sharing challenges and progress.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure is necessary for practice.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions tailored to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within an outpatient clinic or rehabilitation setting, strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with functional movement assessments and designing comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is competitive, with an annual salary between USD $85,000 and $100,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
