Accounting Administrator Local candidates only- hybrid role onsite 3 days per week - St. Petersburg, FL 33716 Schedule: M‑F 40 hours/week: 7‑8AM – 4‑5PM Laptop and equipment provided Contract: 6 months – Opportunity for conversion based on attendance, performance, and availability of an FTE role Rate: $24/hour Job Summary: This person will be responsible for providing administrative / basic accounting related support to the Investment Operations team. Duties Assist with data entry as it relates to reconciling accounts Maintain / update reports using Microsoft Excel Assists in preparing, reviewing, processing and maintaining accounting documents, records and files. Assists in coding and posting transactions to proper accounts in an automated accounting system. Assists in researching transaction discrepancies. Assists in gathering and compiling data for assigned functions. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills: Must Haves - Hard Skills The manager is looking for entry level candidates! Seeking candidates that have less than 3-4 years of work experience; ideally someone who recently graduated college and is looking to start their career. He is also open to candidates who do not have a degree, but may have some schooling and a year or two working in an office. He is looking for candidates who want to get their foot in the door within the financial services industry. Basic to intermediate Excel skills - ability to perform data entry into an Excel spreadsheet Fluent user with Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of, and able to apply, mathematical concepts; comfortable with "crunching numbers" Must Haves - Soft Skills Direct quote from the hiring manager: "I'm looking for someone who is humble." - i.e. willingness to learn and jump in whenever and wherever needed.
