Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs during initial consultations, utilizing comprehensive interviewing and diagnostic skills.

• Formulate individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with clients’ unique goals and challenges.

• Engage in consistent one-on-one therapy sessions, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients manage symptoms.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support, coping strategies, and skill development in a safe group setting.

• Maintain up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), documenting client progress, treatment effectiveness, and any necessary adaptations to the therapeutic approach.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to create a robust support network for clients.

• Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest trends and techniques in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals facing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Your ability to provide culturally responsive care is essential as you will engage with clients from various backgrounds, understanding their unique cultural contexts and how these influence their mental health experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is preferred.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a breadth of knowledge in various therapeutic modalities.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment protocols.

• Proven capability to maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and appropriate therapist-client boundaries.

Compensation and Benefits\n
