Work Environment

Located onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Winchester, Virginia, our physical therapists enjoy a supportive and collaborative work environment. You will work Monday to Friday across a 40-hour shift, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Physical Therapist will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment programs that may include modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education, particularly in diverse areas like orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Providing direct patient care and ensuring the execution of treatment strategies that align with physicians' plans, showcasing your ability to adapt to dynamic clinical scenarios.
• Demonstrating exceptional customer service, fostering strong relationships with patients and their families to facilitate healing and enhance their understanding of their conditions.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes, actively participating in collaborative discussions with colleagues to refine approaches and track progress.
• Educating and training patients and their caregivers on effective management strategies and home exercise programs to enhance recovery.
• Meeting established utilization goals and contributing towards the overall effectiveness of the rehabilitation service line.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, engaging with individuals of various ages and backgrounds, from pediatric to geriatric clients. Each patient's unique needs will require you to employ a compassionate and individualized approach, fostering relationships that inspire confidence and trust in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in technology, including word processing and electronic medical records.
• A proven ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with patients to help them achieve functional goals.
• A genuine desire to connect positively with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
