Saint Mary's Counseling Center in Austin, Texas, is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team as a full-time Youth Mental Health Specialist. Work Environment

This is a remote position based in Austin, Texas, providing the flexibility to work from home while maintaining access to necessary clinical resources through our outpatient office. Our supportive administrative team manages intake scheduling, billing, and credentialing services, allowing clinicians to focus solely on client care. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, building rapport and fostering trusting relationships while adhering to professional ethical standards.
• Conduct regular therapy sessions to assess client progress, explore challenges, and develop effective treatment strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring established goals reflect their personal aspirations and clinical best practices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct intake assessments for new clients to understand their mental health status, concerns, and treatment goals.
• Provide individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities appropriate to the client's needs.
• Engage in individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback on practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Capability to meet internal credentialing requirements for our clinical setting.
• Minimum of one year of direct experience working with psychiatric patients or individuals within substance abuse populations.
• Solid foundation in clinical assessment and diagnosis, with experience in providing both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Proficient technological skills, including basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices.
• Prior involvement in collaborative care models, emphasizing coordination with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
