Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ psychological and emotional health, developing individualized treatment plans that align with best practices in mental health care. Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies tailored to the unique needs of clients in a detox setting, effectively addressing symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders. Facilitate group counseling sessions, offering patients a platform to share their experiences and foster community support. Maintain excellent record-keeping practices utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document treatment interventions, client progress, and ongoing evaluations. Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, promoting an integrated approach to recovery and wellness. Patient Population / Client Focus As an LCSW at Solomon Counseling Center, you will primarily work with clients in a detox center who are experiencing severe substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. The population served includes adults from various backgrounds, many of whom come from underprivileged communities. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Expert knowledge in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment modalities, risk assessment, and crisis intervention. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health or substance abuse setting, with a preference for experience specifically with detox clients. Training in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing techniques is highly beneficial.
