This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and grief.

• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a client-driven approach.

• Create a supportive therapeutic environment that promotes trust, respect, and cooperation among clients while utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.

• Collaborate closely with fellow clinicians, mental health professionals, and case managers to deliver comprehensive client care tailored to each individual’s unique situation.

• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention for clients experiencing urgent mental health needs.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and actively seek opportunities to expand expertise in specialties such as trauma-informed care, adolescent therapy, and couples counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Light Up Counselling, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, couples seeking to enhance their relationships, and families faced with complex dynamics. You will engage with clients dealing with a range of mental health struggles and life challenges, emphasizing a culturally competent approach to therapy and practical communication strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Current licensure to practice as an LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience working with individuals and families.
