Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, considering their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring techniques to suit each client’s unique situation.

• Provide education and guidance to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the most favorable outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to create a seamless care experience, enhancing overall treatment effectiveness.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mental health and mood disorder treatments to continually refine and enhance clinical practice.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to all regulatory and ethical requirements.

• Participate in professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to enrich clinical knowledge and skills.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, promoting destigmatization of mood disorders in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clientele comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences, providing you with the opportunity to engage with and understand the multifaceted nature of mental health. Your interventions will help empower clients towards recovery and improved quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to facilitate successful client outcomes.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals in treatment planning.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
