About the Position

We are seeking a Locum Cardiology Physician to provide coverage in Bellingham, WA. The opportunity includes General Cardiology & Electrophysiology coverage , with hospital rounding, admissions, cardioversions, TEE procedures & a full spectrum of EP procedures. Coverage is needed approximately 1 week per month for General Cardiology, with additional EP coverage needs.

• Evaluate & treat adult cardiology patients
• Provide General Cardiology services
• Provide Electrophysiology services
• Perform hospital rounding & admissions
• Manage inpatient cardiology patients
• Perform cardioversions
• Perform TEE procedures
• Perform EP procedures across the full spectrum
• Manage pacemaker cases
• Perform cardiac ablations
• Provide weeknight call coverage
• Participate in 24 hour weekend call as needed
• Collaborate with APC support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Provide comprehensive inpatient & outpatient cardiac care

• 10 hour shifts
• 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• General Cardiology coverage approximately 1 week per month
• Approximately 2 weeknight calls during the one week stretch
• Potential 24 hour weekend call as needed
• EP coverage approximately 0.5 FTE
• General Cardiology coverage approximately 0.25 FTE
• Start: ASAP once credentialed
• Assignment duration: 9 months

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Board Certified in Electrophysiology for EP coverage
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Active Washington medical license preferred
• IMLC accepted
• Willingness to obtain WA license may be considered depending on start date
• ACLS, BLS & NRP required
• EPIC experience required
• General Cardiology experience required
• EP experience required for EP coverage
• Required cardiovascular case documentation from the previous 24 months
• EP candidates must provide documentation of 100 electrophysiology cases representative of requested privileges
