Business Development Manager

Help legal teams turn interest in AI into useful everyday work.
Irys is hiring a Business Development Manager to build commercial relationships with law firms and corporate legal departments. You will work with legal technology leaders, general counsel, and practice leaders, bringing what you learn back into the product.
Full-time · Remote · United States only
Compensation
Annual base salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD. Target commission: $120,000–$150,000 USD. On-target earnings: $240,000–$300,000 USD at 100% quota attainment. Variable earnings depend on performance under the commission plan. Final base salary within the range depends on relevant skills, experience, and role scope.
What you will own
• Develop qualified opportunities through prospecting, referrals, conferences, and partners.
• Manage enterprise law firm and corporate legal accounts from first conversation through contract execution.
• Lead product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements around the buyer's actual workflows.
• Help buyers understand the value of Irys using clear materials, use cases, and ROI frameworks.
• Build relationships across legal technology and legal operations communities.
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline, forecast accurately, and share customer feedback with product and engineering.
What you bring
• At least five years of B2B enterprise sales experience, with a record of closing contracts worth six figures or more.
• Experience selling technology to law firms, legal departments, or professional services organizations.
• An understanding of how partners, IT leaders, and practice groups make buying decisions.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• The independence to manage a distributed sales process and maintain accurate CRM records.
Legal technology experience, relevant buyer relationships, familiarity with legal AI, and experience developing an early sales function are useful additions.
