Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will undertake various responsibilities that are crucial to the delivery of effective mental health services. Your essential duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' needs and establish suitable treatment plans.
• Documenting intake summaries, treatment plans, and ongoing case summaries in compliance with confidentiality standards.
• Providing individual and family therapy sessions that foster emotional well-being and resilience.
• Collaborating with physicians to assess patients and determine potential psychotropic medication needs within your scope of practice.
• Offering professional consultation to educators and other healthcare providers on matters concerning mental health and behavioral challenges.
• Ensuring patients and their families receive clear guidance on treatment plans and medication schedules.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children, adolescents, and families involved in the educational system. You will support students who are experiencing emotional or social challenges, helping them cope with various issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Your goal will be to empower clients through effective therapeutic interventions that promote mental well-being and academic success.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must possess the following credentials:

• A current and valid California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Professionals from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have at least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting. This experience demonstrates a solid foundation in clinical practice and an understanding of mental health issues that impact diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits
