As a remote mental health counselor, you'll operate within a telehealth framework, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and initial consultations to document clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and recovery plans for clients, couples, families, and groups based on their unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to meet client goals.
\n
• Track and evaluate client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adaptations to intervention strategies as needed.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to create holistic treatment plans.

• Follow up with clients transitioning into and out of crisis, ensuring continuity of care and effective management of their mental health challenges.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers to help them navigate mental and behavioral health issues.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health interventions to continuously improve client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and behavioral health concerns. Our diverse client demographic requires a nuanced understanding of cultural and environmental factors impacting mental health, enabling you to offer culturally competent and client-centered care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is essential.

• Successful completion and pass score on relevant national qualifications, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor in a professional setting.

• Ability to effectively utilize electronic health record systems to manage data and document client progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
