Work Environment

You will be working onsite within our comprehensive rehabilitation facility, interacting closely with a small but dynamic team of physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. The work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensures a routine that fosters professional development and work-life balance. You will have access to the latest rehabilitation equipment and technology, enhancing your ability to provide effective and innovative treatment solutions to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' specific rehabilitation needs and goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate various evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide direct patient care, managing an efficient workload of approximately one patient per hour while ensuring high-quality treatment outcomes.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and guide patients through individualized exercise regimens aimed at improving their mobility and functional abilities.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists to optimize patient care.
• Encourage patients in adopting a healthy lifestyle by fostering improvements in strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families regarding recovery strategies and preventative care.
• Strive to minimize reliance on medications and surgical procedures through thoughtful and effective therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic and sports medicine patients, primarily those who hold private medical insurance. You'll have the opportunity to work with individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, allowing you to apply your expertise in a meaningful way to help them regain their desired level of physical function.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A clean professional record with no prior board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Experience working effectively with EMR software platforms, especially WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, which will enrich your approach to patient care.
• Familiarity with sports medicine concepts and rehabilitation practices.
• Skills in patient motivation techniques that encourage improved outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
