Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, focusing on the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorders on their lives.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their goals, preferences, and the challenges they face.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders, facilitating positive change in clients' lives.

• Provide ongoing education and support for clients and their families about mood disorders, coping strategies, and available treatment options.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress and adapt treatment plans as needed to ensure the most effective outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care, enhancing the therapeutic experience for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and innovative practices in mood disorder treatment, applying this knowledge to improve client outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all client interactions according to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development to hone clinical skills and share best practices within our team.

• Advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mood disorders and promote mental health awareness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals grappling with mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, along with anxiety-related conditions. The diverse clientele reflects the community's rich cultural tapestry, and as such, therapists will work with individuals from various backgrounds, necessitating cultural sensitivity and understanding in treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is mandatory for this position.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in evidence-based approaches to treatment for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
