Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews and document case histories from initial consultations through treatment completion, utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate and accessible client information.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing a variety of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques to gather data.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, that align with each client’s goals and needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques suitable for different audiences, whether working with adults, children, or families.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote optimal outcomes and support recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with other health professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies that support the holistic well-being of clients.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients admitted to hospitals or in need of medication adjustments, fostering continuity of care.

• Identify and actively prevent behaviors that may impede recovery, offering clients and their families tools and strategies to overcome mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, particularly in relation to addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges between $80,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
