Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at Baylor Physical Therapy in Sarasota, Florida. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Assessing patients' functional abilities through comprehensive evaluations, including diagnostic tests focusing on muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with patients' goals and capabilities while adhering to physician prescriptions.
• Providing physical therapy services in a home setting, employing methods such as manual therapies, exercise programs, and modalities like traction and massage.
• Overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the proper implementation of therapy plans and providing guidance when necessary.
• Evaluating home environments to recommend adaptations that enhance patient mobility and independence.
• Maintaining clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to case reviews and collaborative treatment planning with other healthcare professionals.
• Instructing patients and their families in the safe use of therapeutic devices and home exercise programs.
• Responding promptly to changes in patient conditions and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the organization by completing assigned tasks and supporting team initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and elderly patients requiring rehabilitation to maintain functional independence. You will be responsible for understanding each patient's unique needs and adjusting treatment methodologies accordingly to promote their recovery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in home care or acute care settings. A deep understanding of patient care regulations and documentation standards will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD $100,000 to $120,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
