Senior Manager, Revenue Operations

Role Description

In the role of Senior Manager, Airbnb Platform, Revenue Operations, the successful candidate will ensure that the proper financial processes, procedures and controls are in place to support the financial reporting and audit for Airbnb as it relates to the platform operations. This includes:

• Development and ownership of processes and procedures, including documentation and testing.
• Monitoring and managing platform-related accounts and entities.

The role requires a well-rounded finance expert with broad financial, accounting and operational expertise and a track record of supporting cross-functional organizations through large scale growth and transformation. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a multitude of high value accounts.
• Balancing the rapidly growing needs of the organization with finance and compliance objectives.
• Reporting to the Director, Platform Controlling.

A typical day includes:

• Partnering closely with finance teams to identify, assess and articulate the financial impact(s) of business changes.
• Improving visibility for finance leadership into platform accounts and initiatives.
• Partnering with the platform SOX team to ensure risk identification and control mitigations are appropriate.
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders in payments, compliance, legal and other partner and finance teams.
• Leading the Revenue Operations team to ensure all processes meet the close deadline.
• Teaching and mentoring staff in accounting and finance on issues, including revenue technical accounting, GAAP guidance and best practices.
• Being a subject matter expert that partners seek out for guidance and insight.
• Owning key areas such as Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Bad Debt, Gift Card program, and Collections.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of finance and accounting experience, including management level experience in a large multinational organization.
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience (tech, payments, marketplace(s), hospitality) in a high growth environment.
• CPA or equivalent international certification, with Big 4 accounting firm experience, a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with large-scale ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday), monetization and billing systems.
• Polished communication skills and executive presence.
• Aptitude for collaboration and the ability to influence, mentor, and leverage the skills of others.
• Proven ability to successfully manage complex initiatives with cross-functional ownership.
• Passion for and proven track record of training and developing team members.
• Proficient in MS Excel; Experience in SQL and Tableau a plus.

Requirements

• Champion the team's AI enablement agenda by identifying, piloting, and scaling AI use cases across close, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Design and maintain appropriate human-review checkpoints for all AI-assisted workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance leadership, BizTech, and the broader AI enablement initiative.

Benefits

• Base pay range: $192,000 — $240,000 USD.
• Role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
