Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including detailed assessments of clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions to develop a baseline for personalized treatment plans.

• Create individualized intervention strategies for a variety of demographic groups, including individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings, ensuring to tailor approaches based on client feedback and needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities that resonate with clients.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to client care, including post-hospitalization follow-ups.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, such as maladaptive behaviors or adverse effects from medications, and proactively address these issues within the therapeutic framework.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage and understand the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on a varied patient population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, enriching your experience and enhancing your counseling skills. Your compassion, empathy, and clinical insight will be pivotal in building trust and rapport with clients, which is essential for effective therapy and positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is highly desirable.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of addiction disorders and an understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and individual treatment.

• A strong background in developing effective treatment plans based on contemporary psychotherapeutic approaches.

• Prior experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
