Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' unique needs, developing tailored therapy plans that include individualized strategies aimed at fostering emotional resilience.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, addressing issues common to specific populations, such as anxiety disorders, depression, substance use, and trauma.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while maintaining client confidentiality.

• Engage in professional development opportunities, including workshops and training sessions that enhance knowledge and skills in current mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Greene Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals, couples, and families who have limited access to mental health services. Many clients present with complex issues, such as trauma, substance misuse, relationship challenges, or chronic mental health conditions. Your role will be pivotal in navigating clients through their therapeutic journeys, supporting their needs, and encouraging their participation in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Tennessee.

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience providing counseling services, preferably within an outpatient or community health setting.

• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for client documentation and treatment planning.

• Strong interpersonal skills enabling the establishment of rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic approach to client care.
