Transform Lives Through Communication in Beautiful Florida – Join Us as a Speech Language Therapist
What if your next career opportunity allowed you to articulate purpose — quite literally? As a Speech Language Therapist in one of Florida's most dynamic communities, your work will not only address speech and swallowing disorders but also unveil hidden potential, restore confidence, and foster essential human connections. From toddlers mastering their first words to seniors regaining their autonomy, you'll be at the heart of their transformative journeys.
This position provides a unique chance to help individuals of all ages in a collaborative environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether you have a passion for pediatric language development, neurogenic communication disorders in adults, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for older adults, you'll discover fulfillment and versatility within your role.
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
Design customized treatment plans catering to both immediate objectives and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver individualized therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
Educate patients and their families to enhance progress between clinical sessions.
Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the therapeutic process.
Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Keep abreast of industry advancements through continued education and peer collaboration.
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet certified by ASHA.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all ages, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Solid clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
Attractive compensation package based on experience.
Flexible scheduling enhancing work-life balance amid diverse caseloads.
Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
Various options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Continuing education reimbursement and professional growth support.
A collaborative, team-oriented workplace prioritizing quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you won't just administer speech therapies — you'll integrate into a community-oriented mission aimed at restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating joyful experiences through the timeless acts of understanding and being understood.
The vibrancy of life in this part of Florida radiates through the blend of cultural creativity and warm hospitality. With lush landscapes, stunning beaches, and a colorful local art scene, this region presents an invigorating lifestyle woven with opportunities for leisure and adventure.
Families savor sunny afternoons at parks and enjoy live music while outdoor enthusiasts explore vibrant coastal trails, fish in pristine waters, or take leisurely strolls amidst charming boutiques. Culinary lovers can feast on diverse cuisines ranging from fresh seafood joints to upscale dining destinations, each offering a unique flavor of the local culture.
The creative spirit pulsates through the community's events, festivals, and the rich sounds of local musicians filling the air. Additionally, professionals benefit here with the absence of state income tax, a reasonable cost of living, and a thriving healthcare landscape that primes careers for success.
This could be the ideal place for anyone eager to grow — in both personal and professional capacities.
We're on the lookout for a Speech Language Therapist who is motivated not only by results but by empathy. Someone who envisions a future of self-expression for each child they encounter, who hears the challenges faced by stroke survivors and sees determination at its core.
You might be a pediatric expert ready to expand into adult services — or perhaps you specialize in neuro rehabilitation with a desire to engage in pediatric therapy. Whatever your passion may be, if you're prepared to serve wholeheartedly and lead skillfully, we are excited to welcome you aboard.
