Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide short-term crisis counseling for individuals experiencing non-violent mental health episodes.

• Collaborate with law enforcement officers to perform psychiatric evaluations in the field, helping to determine the necessity for 5150/5585 involuntary detentions.

• Train police staff to manage mental health incidents effectively, aiming to de-escalate situations and minimize the use of force.
\n
• Develop and implement action plans for individuals in crisis, considering their unique needs and circumstances.
\n
• Maintain confidential and detailed records of patient information and interactions, ensuring compliance with health regulations and privacy laws.

• Coordinate with external entities, including the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, to facilitate comprehensive case management.

• Assist in locating suitable resources for individuals in crisis, such as mental health facilities or homeless shelter accommodations.

• Engage in continuous communication with healthcare providers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive care for patients.

• Must hold an active Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This rewarding position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $122,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
