This is a fully remote position, allowing counselors to deliver services through our telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and prepare thorough documentation from the first client interaction to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate and monitor clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through structured interviews and assessments.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include specific interventions and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to promote coping skills, emotional processing, and community support.
\n
• Track and document client progress, ensuring that treatment plans are adapted to meet evolving needs and goals.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide follow-up support for clients with complex needs, including those requiring hospitalizations, and maintain ongoing communication with referring professionals.

• Identify and address behaviors that impede recovery by implementing crisis intervention strategies as necessary.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance on managing challenges related to mental health and wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in navigating electronic health records, particularly systems like AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation of care.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Empathy, strong clinical judgment, and a sympathetic nature are essential traits for success in this role.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in mental health counseling or related fields, demonstrating a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities and mental health programs.

• Experience addressing co-occurring disorders and issues related to addiction, as well as familiarity with physical health conditions affecting mental well-being.

• Knowledge of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current trends in psychotherapy.

• Understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.
