Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial interviews with clients, documenting their mental, behavioral, and emotional health status from assessment through treatment completion.

• Evaluate client needs to develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to address various mental health concerns.
\n
• Regularly monitor patient progress throughout their treatment journey and adjust care plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, physicians, and nurses to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists regarding client medications, ensuring coordinated care and effective treatment modifications.

• Identify obstacles to recovery and provide preventative insights to alleviate potential setbacks.

• Support family members and caregivers to help them understand and manage mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is highly desirable.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health conditions, including co-occurring disorders and addiction challenges, is essential.
