Director, WW Medical Neuroscience, Medical Communications

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director of Worldwide Medical Neuroscience Communications to lead strategy and execution of medical communications for the neuroscience portfolio. This role manages cross-functional teams and ensures scientific disclosure to healthcare providers and patients globally, aligned with regulatory standards and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global medical communications strategy for neuroscience assets and indications
- Oversee publication planning, journal submissions, congress presentations, and scientific content delivery worldwide
- Manage budget allocation and prioritize resources across asset/indication portfolios
- Lead internal process improvements ensuring alignment with Good Publication Practices and industry standards
- Build and mentor cross-functional team; establish performance metrics aligned with business outcomes
Requirements
- Strong scientific expertise and research background in neuroscience or related therapeutic area
- Proven experience in medical communications strategy and execution
- Demonstrated ability to manage matrix organizations and cross-functional stakeholders
- Knowledge of publication best practices, regulatory standards, and data dissemination principles
- Budget management and resource allocation experience at portfolio level
- Team leadership experience with full-time and contract staff
