Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop tailored therapeutic interventions that address behavioral health challenges and family dynamics.
• Utilize appropriate community resources to facilitate comprehensive care for patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about discharge options, taking into account their mental health, legal, and insurance statuses.
• Provide continuity of care by referring patients and families to ongoing community services and support upon discharge, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments with psychiatric providers within a week of discharge, ensuring patients receive the necessary information to do so.
• Conduct thorough safety planning with patients and families, including discussions around necessary measures such as firearm removal when applicable.
• Engage actively with the healthcare team, which may include communicating with court officers and patient advocates, to expedite patient progress while maintaining the highest ethical standards for patient rights and facility safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals facing relationship challenges to families experiencing crises. Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of direct experience providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with safety planning protocols and community resource utilization is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills. Braille Clinical Services also offers flexible scheduling options with a commitment of 30 hours or more per week, enabling you to create a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle.
