Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, considering the severity, frequency, and impact on daily functioning.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that target specific goals and align with their treatment preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment modalities, and effective self-care strategies to facilitate understanding and engagement.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and providing feedback to ensure optimum outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other clinicians to integrate mental health care, making referrals when additional support is required.
• Stay informed of the latest research and treatment developments regarding mood disorders, actively participating in professional development and training sessions.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all therapeutic interactions, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss client care and enhance collaborative practices.
• Advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma surrounding mood disorders and promote comprehensive mental health awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clientele reflects a diverse array of backgrounds, ages, and personal histories, requiring a therapist adept at culturally sensitive practices and individualized care approaches. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-licensure experience in clinical settings, with a focus on mood disorders preferred.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including but not limited to CBT and DBT.
• A strong foundation in psychopharmacology and familiarity with collaborating closely with psychiatric professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this full-time position is USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
