Work Environment\n

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while remaining connected with a collaborative team of mental health professionals. You will be supported by experienced child psychiatrists and fellow therapists, frequently engaging in virtual team meetings and case consultations to share insights and best practices. Our practice operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to understand their unique challenges and needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, aligning with each child’s developmental stage and family dynamics.
\n
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which may include play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family therapy, to effectively treat various mental health conditions.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, building trust, and nurturing supportive home environments.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations impacting children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on serving children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. By working closely with young clients and their families, you will play a critical role in facilitating their journeys to improved mental health and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders specific to children and adolescents, along with evidence-based treatment strategies.
\n
• Proven experience providing both individual and family therapy, thereby demonstrating the capacity to handle complex cases.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a compassionate and child-centered approach to care.
\n
• Competence in engaging effectively with families to build trusting relationships.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
\n
• Ability to collaborate and thrive within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents in mental health settings.

• Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and interventions that cater to the specific needs of young clients.

• Experience in providing telehealth services is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
