Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced sales professional who thrives on developing new businesses, managing strategic customer relationships, and growing segment revenue.
As a Strategic Account Executive , you will be responsible for developing and expanding business across key direct sales segments. You will work directly with National accounts, decision makers, and procurement teams to deliver tools and solutions that improve efficiency, optimization, and tool accountability.
You will also collaborate with our National Sales Manager to support existing large accounts and OEM opportunities within a segment. This role requires a highly motivated, relationship-driven salesperson who can balance new business development with account management while representing Sonic Tools as the manufacturer of choice in the industries we serve.
What You’ll Do
Drive New Business Growth
· Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within large enterprise organizations, including Fortune 100 companies across automotive, aviation, industrial, and technical service sectors.
· Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to penetrate target organizations and expand Sonic’s presence.
Manage and Grow Strategic Accounts
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders including executives, procurement leaders, operations managers, and technical teams.
· Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding operational challenges and recommending solutions that improve technician productivity, tool control, and workflow efficiency.
Lead Enterprise Sales Engagements
· Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
· Deliver high-impact presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals tailored to large-scale enterprises.
Develop Multi-Site and National Opportunities
· Identify opportunities to standardize tools, systems, and storage solutions across multi-location organizations.
· Collaborate with internal teams to structure scalable programs that support national or enterprise-level deployments.
Build and Maintain a Healthy Sales Pipeline
· Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and account activity in Salesforce CRM.
· Track strategic opportunities and drive disciplined follow-up to ensure consistent revenue growth.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Support
· Partner with operations, product, and leadership teams to deliver customized solutions for complex customer environments.
· Ensure successful project implementation of Sonic solutions, including large-scale installations and customer onboarding.
Represent Sonic Tools in the Market
· Act as a representative of Sonic Tools with key customers, industry partners, and at major industry events and trade shows.
· Strengthen Sonic’s brand as a premium tool and solutions partner within large enterprise organizations.
What We’re Looking For
· 5+ years of professional sales experience, ideally in direct sales, territory management, or strategic account development.
· Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage prospects at the frontline to senior decision-makers levels.
· A self-motivated, results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
· Highly organized with strong follow-up, pipeline management, and account planning capabilities.
· Experience using CRM platforms (such as Salesforce) and standard business tools for managing sales activity and customer relationships.
· A customer-focused, consultative approach with the ability to understand operational challenges and deliver value-driven solutions.
Minimum Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience in a professional sales environment.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Willingness to travel for customer visits, trade shows, and on-site when required.
· Ability to lift to 70 lbs. unassisted (with or without reasonable accommodation).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency with CRM systems and common business technology tools (salesforce).
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and industry experience.
· Experience selling solutions into automotive, aviation, industrial, or technical service industries.
· Experience working with enterprise customers, multi-site organizations, and national accounts.
