Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their experiences.

• Work closely with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific challenges, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders and improve client outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly track and monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic effectiveness and ensure alignment with their goals.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to care, enhancing the support available to clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mental health treatment to continually refine your therapeutic approaches and share best practices with the team.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment strategies, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations and professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills.

• Act as a client advocate, striving to reduce the stigma surrounding mood disorders and ensuring that clients’ mental health needs are prioritized and addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding clients through some of their most challenging times and contributing to their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT, specifically in relation to mood disorders.
\n
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
\n
• A proven track record of achieving positive outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders, showcasing your effectiveness and dedication to client care.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and build strong therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a community health setting or outpatient mental health practice.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client tracking.

• Prior experience with telehealth platforms and remote client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 - 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive:
