We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team at Family Prime Hospital & Medical Center in Islip, New York. This pivotal role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a primary care outpatient setting. Work Environment

Located in Islip, New York, our Surgical Center is designed to support outpatient procedures and routine health checks. The work schedule is structured at 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, culminating at 5:00 PM. The onsite nature of this role means you will have direct access to your colleagues and patients, fostering a collaborative spirit while ensuring the delivery of timely and effective health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of patients and review their medical histories to develop detailed health profiles.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, formulating effective treatment plans including prescribing necessary medications.
• Monitor patient progress by maintaining precise records and providing follow-up care as needed.
• Provide education and guidance about health maintenance, disease prevention, and management to patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with the medical team to discuss patient care strategies and enhance treatment outcomes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously advance your clinical knowledge and practice skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Valid Physician Assistant license and certification (PA-C) in New York State.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, family health, internal medicine, cardiology, or urgent care settings.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Proficient communication skills, with a strong ability to educate and support patients effectively.
• A commitment to ethical standards and collaborative practice, embodying patience and resilience in patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a primary care environment.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader patient base.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
