El Gloria Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic support to individuals affected by trauma. This full-time role allows you to work remotely while utilizing your expertise to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote but involves occasional collaboration at our outpatient office in Long Beach. We operate on a flexible work schedule, primarily from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the understanding that additional hours may be needed to accommodate patient care. Our remote setting is designed to support work-life balance while ensuring that our therapists remain connected to both colleagues and clients through virtual platforms.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments tailored to evaluate individual histories, enabling the formulation of effective treatment plans.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and essential resilience-building skills.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support client healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, devising healthy coping mechanisms, and achieving overall emotional wellness.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a seamlessly integrated approach to client care.
\n
• Serve as a crisis intervention specialist during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate support to clients in need.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain thorough and confidential patient documentation, adhering to both legal requirements and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance therapeutic practices and maintain a high standard of care.

• Commit to professional development by staying informed about the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals dealing with various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other distressing life experiences. Many clients will present with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders, requiring a deep understanding of trauma-informed practices and sensitivity to their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California is essential.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficiency in therapeutic interventions specifically related to trauma recovery.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with clients compassionately and effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma and mental health care is strongly preferred.

• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and maintain compliance.

Compensation and Benefits\n
