Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, to determine the severity and specific needs of each individual.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique goals and preferences of clients.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research in mood disorder treatments and methodologies, implementing innovative strategies to enhance client care.

• Advocate for your clients’ mental health needs within the community, working to reduce stigma and improve access to necessary resources and support.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and training opportunities to foster a spirit of collaboration and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on individuals affected by mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse clientele, including vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, ensuring they receive compassionate and tailored therapeutic support that addresses their unique circumstances and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• An active, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
