Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders, ensuring each assessment is meticulous and tailored to the client’s specific needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, fostering a comprehensive understanding of mental health.

• Monitor and document client progress consistently, making timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary care by coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices related to mood disorders, actively contributing to improvements in treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance skills and share insights within the team.

• Advocate for clients, addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their needs are met with compassion and respect.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will be invaluable to clients from various backgrounds, including those who may be homeless, refugees, or victims of domestic abuse, enabling significant interventions that lead to transformative outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients.

• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences, promoting a safe environment for open dialogue.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively prioritize workload and complete administrative tasks accurately.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in working with mood disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques will be advantageous. Additional training in trauma-informed care is also highly regarded.
