Edge Handling Physical Therapy LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Perth Amboy, New Jersey facility. This full-time role involves working directly with patients to enhance their mobility and independence, placing a strong emphasis on rehabilitative care in an outpatient setting. Work Environment

Located in a modern rehabilitation center, our working environment is collaborative and supportive. Working alongside a team of experienced physical therapists and healthcare professionals, you will engage in shared learning and continuous professional development. The physical therapy department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, ensuring you have the resources necessary to effectively treat our patients. The typical work schedule consists of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to understand patients' physical abilities, needs, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities and exercises.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and design specific exercise regimens tailored to support rehabilitation and recovery.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging adherence to physical therapy protocols.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes meticulously in patient records.
• Foster effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients on the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle, including guidance on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Participate in team meetings and case reviews to enhance therapy practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will help patients of varying ages and physical capabilities navigate their rehabilitation journeys, from pediatric to geriatric populations. You will be instrumental in helping them restore functional movement and regain confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in orthopedic physical therapy or related fields.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on your physical therapy license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing effective exercise programs based on evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be beneficial in maintaining accurate patient documentation and tracking progress efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, complemented by an attractive bonus structure.
