The Nelvana Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual specialized in mood disorders, including depression and anxiety-related conditions. The position is primarily remote, enabling you to provide therapy to clients while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Work Environment\n

This position is designed for remote work, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of a collaborative clinical team. Our work environment is supportive and encourages ongoing professional development, allowing you to thrive and maintain a strong work-life balance. The practice is operational Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, duration, and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific mental health goals and preferences.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the needs of clients struggling with mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, offering guidance on treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care practices.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to each client’s treatment.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research developments in the field of psychology, particularly regarding mood disorders, to enhance therapeutic practices.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including session notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
\n
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to share insights, best practices, and techniques with colleagues.
\n
• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma related to mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse client base includes individuals from various backgrounds seeking effective therapeutic interventions to improve their mental health. You will play a crucial role in supporting clients on their journey toward stability and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in Washington State as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge and expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially CBT and DBT.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with mood disorders.
\n
• A proven track record of successful treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Experience in delivering education and support to families regarding mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, with additional sign-on bonuses available. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
