Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify customized treatment paths.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Offer both individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping patients work through their trauma and develop healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring the holistic treatment of each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available for continued support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, including treatment progress notes and assessments.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and practices in trauma therapy, integrating new insights into patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by trauma and its resulting psychological impacts. The patients you will serve may have experienced trauma from various sources, including but not limited to, military service, domestic abuse, accidents, or other distressing events. Understanding their unique needs and responses is crucial for creating personalized, effective treatment plans.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to convey empathy and non-judgment in all interactions.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological applications.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience\n
